Pack 622 Den Meetings and Pack Meetings: What You Can Expect

Den Meetings

Den meetings are where a lot of the fun happens. They’re typically one to two hours long and they meet once or twice a month, depending on the Den Leaders’ discretion. Your Den Leader will provide you with a Den meeting schedule.

It’s during the Den meetings that the boys practice a lot of their Scouting skills and earn their advancement ranks.
Boys should bring their Handbooks to the Den meetings and sometimes there are reading assignments in the Handbooks before the meeting.
Also, Scouts are expected to wear their uniforms at the Den meetings unless the Den Leader has specified otherwise.

Please note: Siblings -we cannot accommodate siblings at Den meetings. These meetings are for the Scouts only, and for parents who want to participate.

Please note: Tiger Cubs -a parent, guardian, or responsible adult must accompany a Tiger Cub at all Tiger Den meetings.

Pack Meetings

Our Pack meetings are monthly celebrations of all the Dens. Each meeting has a fun theme. At each Pack meeting, we’ll make announcements, hear from the Cubmaster, and recognize those Scouts who have earned advancement or other awards. We always open and close with a flag ceremony. But central to the Pack meetings are fun activities. This year, your Scout and you can look forward to, among other things, a Halloween costume party, the always popular Pinewood Derby race, a build-a-cardboard-fort extravaganza, and the Blue & Gold banquet to celebrate BSA’s birthday. At the end of the year, we have a special ceremony to graduate Scouts to their next rank.

Please note that Scouts should wear their uniforms at all Pack meetings unless otherwise specified by the Cubmaster. (Scout uniforms are not expected at the Halloween costume party, of course!)

Pack meetings are for families. We encourage everyone in the family to attend.
